Sound can transform a space. William Sound designs sound installations that enhance the experience of public spaces, museum exhibits and galleries. From ambient backdrops to user-interactive audio, William Sound offers a range of acoustic solutions from surprisingly simple to highly sophisticated. Combined with creative audio production skills, William Sound audio designs have been successfully integrated into a variety of spaces, places and environments.
This is the music exhibit for the Artifact Center at Spertus Museum. Visitors trigger sound snippets via push buttons that accompany various exhibit displays about the musical traditions of ancient Middle Eastern cultures. The Artifact Center hosts thousands of children annually, demonstrating the reliability and longevity of it's audio components.
The Chorus Hall, conceived by artist, Linda Beaumont, is a sound installation within the Bothell Library of University of Washington. The audio system plays the rich sounds of Northwest wetlands, and as people come through the space, the audio is triggered via motion sensors. William Sound designed and installed the audio system. We also recorded and edited the stereo sounds within the space.
